An LA-based outfit called Lumenus has launched a Kickstarter campaign for smart LED-equipped gear, comprising a jacket, vest and backpack. The smarts behind the technology are revealed through the company’s patent pending app, which is built on top of the Google Maps API and connects to the wearables through Bluetooth. So when you slow down, your phone’s accelerometer detects the deceleration and activates the rear brake lights. When you turn, amber signal lights are activated, and when you come up on an intersection, a strobe light ensures nearby cars will notice you. Check out the video below to see the technology in action, then head over to Lumenus’ Kickstarter page to learn more.

Photo Shoot & Fashion Show Tips
"As a photographer assisting or shooting, I have seen colorful nails ruin a photo or cause the photographer to avoid a shot all together because the model had fingernail polish that just threw everything off. Yes photoshop could probably correct the problem, but...you don't want to rely on that. Natural is always better unless your nail color is a planned part of the shoot/concept."
